Shakti Flow
A steady set of breath and motion to open energy channels and to deepen connections. The sequences given are drawn from, but not limited to, the hatha family of yoga. Qi qong and meditation is often incorporated. Creative expression is encouraged. Everyone is free to go at their own pace to find their own rhythm. The waking of Shakti: the power of consciousness, happens when we move with intention and breath awareness.

Slow Flow with Yin

A slow pace of hatha poses linked to breath to create an easeful flow. for all levels. There will be time dedicated in each session for prop-supported restorative poses to release soft tissue and to calm the nervous system.

Gentle Flow
A simple set of movements strung together with gentle breath. No inversions or labor intensive postures are done in this session, leaving plenty of time to calm and center oneself.

Reflexology
A focused pressure technique directed at the hands and feet. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which correspond to all the parts, glands, and organs in the entire body.  Reflexology helps to open these parts of body to promote blood and oxygen to flow. When done before a yoga practice, it can increase circulation, reduce stress and assist the body to normalize metabolism.

Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement®
The Feldenkrais Method® works with the plasticity of the brain, its ability to form new cells and reorganize itself, and in effect, learn new ways of doing things. Relinquish habitual movement patterns that cause or contribute to chronic pain and find a way to create easier movement.  Awareness Through Movement®lessons will teach the body to experience easier and more efficient ways to move while introducing the body to more optimal movement patterns that can be integrated into how the body functions and organizes itself.

Sacred Studies
An hour off the mat dedicated to a section of scripture, concentrating on an explanation of a deity, or breaking down a mantra to enhance one’s spiritual quest.

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra progressively relaxes the body and allows us access to deeper levels of consciousness using visualization and cues. This couples well with a Flow practice prior. It is nice to do in the evening as it prepares us for deeper rest.

All sessions inspire a creative approach to inward connection and internal balance.  We are a come as you are studio: nothing to know, everything to experience. Focus is on threading the breath through the body in such a way that movement becomes fluid and restorative.
